Lighting and video design for a piece carried by memory, image and presence.
Memory of a Flower is an immersive theatre creation developed with Compagnie Wild Donkey and directed by Serge Nicolaï. The project explores memory, traces and inner landscapes through a stage writing that combines physical presence, light, image and sound material.
The video and lighting design accompanies the performance as a living material, able to transform the perception of the stage and reveal sensitive spaces between reality, memory and imagination. Projected images dialogue with bodies, textures and performers’ movements, in an approach where technology remains in the service of stage presence.
The work developed for this creation is part of a research into digital arts applied to live performance: real-time image composition, evolving luminous atmospheres, relationships between darkness, appearance and disappearance, and particular attention to the visual rhythm of the performance.
Présenté dans un contexte international, Memory of a Flower prolonge une démarche artistique située entre object theatre, installation visuelle et scénographie immersive, où lumière et vidéo participent pleinement à la dramaturgie du projet.
