Lighting, video and scenic design for live performance.
For Orpheo and Eurydice, the video design follows the musical and scenic movement through a visual writing conceived as a sensitive material of the performance.
The images extend the spaces of the opera through a work on light, textures and projections, in dialogue with Bernard Jourdain’s staging and Romain Dumas’ musical direction.
The video device aims less at illustration than at creating an immersive visual presence, able to reveal depths, mental landscapes and emotional states in resonance with the music and the bodies on stage.
Here, video becomes a space of circulation between reality and imagination, accompanying the lyrical dramaturgy in a sober, organic and contemporary form.
