The Heart’s Wishes.

For The Heart’s Wishes, the video design accompanies Anne Bourgeois’ staging as a sensitive material in dialogue with the actors’ performances and the scenic space. The images extend the emotions and relationships between the characters through a discreet visual device, conceived to support the narration without ever taking precedence over the stage.

The video work develops a scenic writing based on atmospheres, rhythms and the circulation of gazes. The projections contribute to the construction of an intimate and contemporary theatrical universe, between realism and evocation, interacting with light, scenography and the performers’ presence.

This creation is part of a research into image in theatre as a dramaturgical extension of live performance, where video becomes an element of breathing, memory and perception of the narrative.
