Alice in the Wonderbox.

A stage creation between image, light and space.

For Alice in the Wonderbox, the video creation accompanies the work of mime and the body as a scenic material in its own right. Images, projections and digital devices extend the world of the performance by playing with perceptions, appearances and transformations of space.

The video work seeks a balance between visual poetry, stage rhythm and the presence of the performers. The projections interact with light, movement and scenography to build an immersive world inspired by Alice’s imagination, between illusion, physical play and a shifting sense of reality.

The creation is part of an ongoing exploration of the relationship between image and the living stage: how video can become a performing partner, transform the volumes of the stage and support the sensitive and choreographic dimension of the piece without ever overpowering the bodies and presences.
