Nina et les Managers.

A stage creation between image, light and space.

For Nina et les Managers, the video design accompanies the stage as a living material, in dialogue with the actors’ presence, the rhythm of the performance and the scenic space. The images extend the tensions of the narrative and help build a theatrical world where reality and representation constantly intersect.

The video work was conceived as a sensitive device serving Ghislaine Beaudout’s direction, seeking a balance between human presence, light and projected image. The projections sometimes open the space, sometimes fragment it, creating shifts in perception and changes of scale that accompany the states of the performance.

Through this creation, video becomes a fully-fledged scenic language, integrated into the stage in an approach where technique and dramaturgy move forward together. The visual device seeks less to produce an effect than to create a relationship between bodies, space and the spectator’s imagination.
